Open West Schooling Show. ALL Riders are eligible! from Beginner to Advanced.
Office fee is $20
Intro A, B, C, Training 1 etc, are patterns and are $20 each. Instructors will read or help as needed. try to be familiar with pattern. Patterns are available by searching for 'USDF' and the Pattern name. IE: USDF TEST INTRO A
Command is a rail class (no pattern) and is similar to Simon Says. $10
WT and WTC are equitation and on the rail classes. May have a halt or back up on the rail. No pattern. $10
Jump Class is a pattern class in the jump arena. $15 Pattern available before class.
Trail Class is an obstacle course. Some are timed.
Please arrive 1 hour to 1.5 hrs before your ride time. Times are a guesstimate.
Attire is fun, but neat and safe. Your horse's color is posted, so the rider can match!
The judge is Roberta Clark, USDF Gold Medalist

Formal ShowsA great way to show off your progress in riding and learn what you can improve on. We have 1 to 2 Schooling Dressage Shows a year, here at W.E.S.T. These "Home" shows are open to all. Cost averages $40 to $100
"Away" shows (at outside facilities) are to be approved by an instructor. Participants must prepare their horse the night before, travel with horse, help load trailer and horse, and help again when we are done. Cost varies from $150 to $500. Recognized shows can be more. |
Fun ShowsA great way to relax and enjoy your horse and HAVE FUN!! We attend some at the ranch, others away. Must be able to walk, trot and steer confidently, away and at the ranch! Cost varies from $40 to $120.
Breed Shows
We often participate in Gypsy, Drum and Draft shows. These are great for our more advanced riders, but we always need help! Helping is a great way to get experience and a leg up to the next level! Cost varies. |
